My Bio
Full time project manager and tech integrator for software systems. Part time independent consultant/analyst and entrepreneur.

Moving into game development since that's what I really love. Currently in the concept phase for a turn-based, strategy/RPG in a Sci-Fi setting. Will use profits from consulting to pay for game creation. May look at kickstarter and such down the road.

So what's the game? Think of the old games Homeworld and Homeworld 2. Instead of being a RTS imagine playing as a single capitol ship with a small group of escort vessels you command in a turn-based setting. You can unlock different hull sizes in various classes ranging from light corvettes to heavy destroyers. You then lead them to explore, fight, and salvage your way through the secrets of a new IP with a story line built to last over an arc of games.

Other play elements include developing technology upgrades from a technology tree, similar to civilization, to create new weapons systems and ship hull designs and classes in different categories. You can then select and mount them on your chosen hull class/design and likewise for the escort vessels you lead. You can return to "Base" to swap out hull classes as you play, so you can tailor the ship you bring to a fight depending on what you're in the mood for or what you think is best for the mission.

Add in some RPG style character stats and skills you unlock from a progression tree similar to the Diablo series for different combat effects and there you go. Stately turn-based capitol ship battles a la' "The Wrath of Kahn." That's the goal anyway, we'll see how it goes in the development phase... ; )

There's literally no games like this on the market and that's what I want to play. Turn-based strategy is forgotten. Everything is a FPS or a twitch and zerg-fest. The only solution to have the game I want to play is to make it. (If there are games like this point me to them so I can play them, ha!)

Using DeviantART to find up-and-coming artists to commission art for use in the game..and if I don't fall flat on my face...to create a full-up game design firm using the same people I've built relationships with on this effort.

I'll need:
- Species design art and artists
- Environment design and art for space backgrounds as well as vessel/base interiors
- LOTS of ship designs - Love the Homeworld series design aesthetic
- Story boarding sketches for cinematic development
- Cinematics showing story-line advances - Again will follow the Homeworld design aesthetic since I love the look and the simplicity Relic used, while still giving an emotional story narrative. Also will be easier to create and pay for on an Indy start-up game
